Description

My car is being relisted after the previous buyer failed to respond to my emails or calls after the close of auction. Note to all: I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but am asking that any bidders with less than a 95% rating and/or 20 previous transactions please contact me prior to the close of this auction. Otherwise; I may cancel your bid. On to the car . . .

Solid car throughout, that starts without hesitation and runs / drives better than one might expect from a 1980’s GM. Just under 95,575 miles on the odometer.

Starts, runs, shifts, and handles without flaw. From a reliability perspective, this car is all there.

INTERIOR

oUpholstery is pretty good, I’d say 8/10 with no rips or major flaws otherwise. The front seats fabric is little worn (maybe dingy is the better word) but well within the realm of several more years of service, and would likely clean up quite well.

oInterior plastics are all there and in great shape. The notoriously ‘saggy’ interior door handles were replaced with a new set two years ago. The new set was OEM black, dyed to red. On the driver’s side, the black is beginning to show through the red a bit.

oThe radio is all original, all there, and playing it takes one straight back to cruising in the 1980’s, when the world was plagued by AC Delco’s poor attempt at audio engineering. It sounds terrible.

oBoth power windows work, but the passenger side needs a bit of help from time to time. Pretty common for these cars, and usually easily corrected via a cleaning of the dirt prone regulator assembly.

ENGINE

oHas had some work done to address a nuisance oil leak that developed around 80k miles.

oRecent new battery and starter.

oA/C blows cold as it should, and has been converted to R-134A refrigerant recently.

BODY

oTires are less than a year old and well under 5,000 miles of use.

oCar has been resprayed, factory color. I’d give it a 7.5 to 8/10. Not without flaw, but not bad from a couple feet away, and great cruising down the road.

oCar has a few minor dings in the hood and in a few other places, but is in overall pretty good shape. The front lower cowl has a bit of curb rash. Someone peeled some paint on the driver side rear pillar after ripping off a charity car wash sign that had been duck-taped to the car for the benefit of attracting business.
