Brief History of Car:
In 1973 as a junior in high school, I had Corvette Fever. My father was totally opposed to me purchasing a Corvette and offered to buy me a new car of my choice (within reason) upon graduation from high school--if I did Not buy a Corvette.. But, I had a job and money and I actually purchased a 1966 Corvette Coupe 1 week before I bought this car. When I saw this car--I knew it was the car for me. So-- I sold the 1966 Coupe Corvette and 1 week later I purchased the car of my dreams.
I am currently 60 years old and have been the proud owner of this car for the last 42 years.
I have had many inquiries and opportunities to sell this car over the years, but always declined (including the offer to trade this car for a New Corvette of my choice by the local Chevrolet dealer), The car was never priced to anyone for fear they would purchase the car--so I never priced it. The car is only out of storage for summer fun for cruising with my daughter or trips for ice cream with the grandsons. At all other times the car is in storage. You can Not drive this car and Not have multiple people pull up or want to stop you to talk about the car.
The car has only been entered in 1 local car show by my son-in-law, This last year he entered the car in the Joplin Crusaders & Wounded Warrior Project Car Show, The show was March 20th of 2015. The car received a Top 10 Award---without the car being prepped, waxed, or detailed for the show, It was just wash and go to spend the day at the show with his boys.
The car is a ":survivor" and true classic.
This car has never been hit or damaged in any manner.
I do not have the original paperwork. I purchased the car with approximately 29K miles on it. I believe I am the 2nd owner of the car. I hope it brings the new owner as much joy and satisfaction as I have had for the last 40+ years!
