Description

67 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed

Original non-butchered car with the exception of older lacquer green paint (painted over original Apollo Cream).Would need overall restoration / reconditioning or install motor and drive (has not been driven since about 1996).It has original frame, suspension (front has been rebuilt), brakes (drum), 12 bolt rearend, driveshaft, steering box, etc. (Obviously the transmission and rearend would perhaps need seals, etc.Brakes would probably need shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, etc. for the brakes).

The car used to belong to a friend of mine and he purchased it about 1980 while living in California and had the original 396 in it at that time, but blew the motor and was later replaced with another 396.It is unknown whether the original motor was a 325 or 350 hp based on the heads.The gray areas in the engine compartment is primer as well as the trunk lid as he had started to recondition the car sometime in 2004.Trunk has two rust holes and one in the right rear quarter behind the tire which are small and can be seen in the pictures.Can be worked on while being driven.Additional information below;

Due to requests regarding a motor or additional motor parts from previous eBay listing, I am including the 396 shortblock with the sale of the Chevelle that was in it when it operational about 1996. The original heads were not used on this shortblock.

THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SHORTBLOCK FOR THIS CHEVELLE

The following are numbers;

Casting – 3902406

Suffix – T1025IN

Serial Number – 7C11198 [(11?) Not sure what this is]

Timing chain cover

Harmonic Balancer

Pick up tube

The shortblock is bolted together and I just spun it over about a 1.5 weeks ago and it has the original factory compression ratio (factory pop ups) and I have installed the shortblock described above in the engine bay of the Chevelle and have taped and wrapped it.This was to aid in the event it is picked up by a transport company.

As some of you are probably aware, eBay only allows 24 pictures. I would have liked to include pictures of the additional motor parts as well specific original parts to the car, but upon research it appears that you need to be linked Photoshop or something like this online to create the additional pictures.

All sales are final, and the car does not have any kind of warranty expressed or implied by the seller.It’s up to you (the buyer) to arrange and pay for shipping if you are not going to pick the car up in person.I will however work with the transport company to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

If you pick this car up in person you can:pay in cash or do a bank to bank transfer (it is up to you to set this up and the car and title do not leave my property until the transfer is completed. If you have the car shipped to you, you must pay in full with a bank to bank wire transfer.The car cannot be picked up until my bank is satisfied and the funds are safely transferred. Must be picked up within 2 weeks of winning.Must be paid in full within 3 business days.

I have chosen to utilize the bidding process of eBay to allow the market to determine the value of the car based on an auction. I will resign from outside discussions concerning price or the reserve as I do not feel it would be fair to other buyers that have interest in the car.

Thank you for looking and good luck.Please come and see the car in person, you will not be disappointed.To set up a time to see it or for any questions, please contact me at the contact number provided.Other pictures available upon request and car is located in Grand Junction, CO.970-560-1335

Thanks,

Pat
