Description

A true SS Chevelle but original drivetrain is long gone. This car has been rebuilt from the ground up. I did not do the initial work but have been sorting it out since I have owned it. All the metal has been replaced and all the suspension and drivetrain are new or rebuilt. I have a thick book of receipts for almost everything the previous owner bought. The engine is a 454 and runs very well and can light the tires through 2nd gear. The transmission and torque converter are from TCI, a 700R4. The rear is from Moser with 33 spline axles, 4:11 gears with Tru Trac and Ford axle ends with press on bearings and 1/2 -20 x 1 3/4 studs. There are 4 wheel power disc brakes from CPP. Stainless fuel tank and Magna Flow stainless exhaust. A Be Cool radiator keeps the engine at good temperature with great oil pressure. The interior is all new with the gauge dash and console. All glass is new. The seat frames, suspension parts and the frame have been powder coated satin black. Urethane bushings have been used throughout the suspension and engine and transmission mounts. There are some things that still need attention such as adjusting the heater controls, putting a radio in, getting the backup lights adjusted (they work but are not on when in reverse), the dome light works but may not be hooked to the door jam switches. I know some will think that the rear gears are too tall but with OD transmission the engine runs about 2,000 RPM at 55 MPH. It drives like a 1966 Chevelle would and by that I mean the steering is light and loose by todays standards, it is a little noisy, but that is a good sound, draws attention anywhere you drive it and because of the disc brakes it will stop a whole lot better than when new. I would not be worried to jump in and drive it 500 miles to a show or event. Any questions or concerns can be addressed by calling Keith @ 262 707-4187 between 0700 and 2200 Central time. Please do not text as I drive for a living and am not able to text while on the job. Thanks for taking an interest. As usual there is no warranty and will be sold as is where is. I will help with shipping or pick up any way possible. Cash or checks only and I will hold the car until funds have cleared.
