1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS
Description
EXTREMELY clean '87 El Camino SS. Yes it's a true SS.
56,000 ORIGINAL Miles as documented by the State of South Carolina DMV. The car has been in SC it's whole life so it's rust free and does not appear to have ever been in an accident.
As you can see it has been painted a few years ago, the color is beautiful in the sun and looks to have a pearl on it, the paint is a few years old, but still shines great.
It has a 2" cowl hood, and a new aluminum grill.
The box has a spray in bed liner and stainless bolts for the tie down points.
A nice set of aluminum ARE wheels with Spline Lug nuts and BRAND NEW BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires all around. 245/ 60 R 15 on the front and 255/ 60 R 15 on the rear.
New air shocks on the rear and a locking gas cap.
The interior is well equipped with nice bucket seats, a little faded, but no weak spots, or rips. The carpet and door panels are like new the dash has full gauges including the tach. manual windows, working air conditioning (only blows out of the defroster) and cruise control. The center console has no tears in the cover and the floor shifter is tight. The dash has a new carpet cover on it as the original dash is in tact, but has 3 cracks in it, not bad, but this looks better. It has a new JVC stereo with hands free calling and bluetooth, it sounds good with a pair of 6x9 sony's in boxes behind the seats. The original spare tire and jack are in place behind the passenger seat.
Under the hood is mainly stock with a couple of minor improvements. The car came with one of the terrible Thermal- Quad carburetors and ran like it. The intake and carb were replaced with new Edelbrock equipment and a new HEI distributor. The factory exhaust manifolds were replaced with a set of Hooker Headers and new true dual exhaust system installed with a great sounding set of Flowmaster mufflers. When the New carb was installed I didn't hook the cruise control back up, but I do have the arm and linkage to go with the car. the cruise does work and was tested prior to removing the intake. The valve cover gaskets are new along with a set of Mr. Gasket Chrome valve covers. All belts and hoses are new with fresh anti-freeze and a fresh oil change. The transmission has been serviced with a new filter and fluid and shifts perfect.

The car looks, runs and drives very nice and gets a lot of attention.
The original wheels and lug nuts are available with the car if the buyer wants them.
