KNOWN ITEMS TO BE FIXED
·I am selling this car because a few years ago it started running rough, my mechanic found it had low compression in one cylinder. The engine is a big block from 1970/1971 but is not numbers matching. I have enjoyed my time with this car. It is time for me to move on to another project.
·The next owner can decide whether they want to fix the engine (yes, it runs) or sell it and buy one that's newer, more powerful, & fuel injected. It’s up to you.
·Recent mechanic inspection and road test found:
oGas gauge – sensors in tank needs repair (I always just filled it when I went out)
oWindshield wipers are not working: this is recent, could be a bad connection
oFlapper hood operational but not connected
oHeater/AC system should be charged
o7yr. old tires, no wear but tires should be replaced after 5 yrs (good excuse to buy the wheels you like)
·The paint job: the clear coat is worn, wax her and from 10 feet away she is beautiful. As you get close you see a little chip from a gravel strike on the hood, a small ding in the passenger's door, and imperfections/wear on the paint from age on each panel. The only rust I know about is a spot or 2 smaller than a dime on the rear passenger’s corner of the car. It has not changed since I bought it. The pictures show all of this. I can send more.
·Mileage: the engine has been replaced, the gauges are replacements, this is not an original mileage car. I have driven it less than 100 miles in 20 years. The title lists it as around 138,000 miles.
·ADDITIONAL ITEMS
·Comes with box of miscellaneous new/original parts not installed (yet)
·Chevelle service/restoration library: books, service manuals, & diagrams.
·Convertible top boot (cover for the top when it's down)
·Custom car storage cover
·I have receipts, even documentation and photos from the previous owner’s insurance appraisal declaring it was insured as an LS5.
·
This car is a classic, more popular now than when I bought it. 1970 is the most popular year of all the Chevelles, 64’ through 72’. Convertibles are even more rare and valuable. It is in very good shape; she just needs some love from the right new owner.
