I reluctantly am selling my museum quality 1951 Chevrolet Pickup. It is the 3100--216 inline 6 (Stovebolt) model. It is in superb condition and has a very interesting history. It runs and drives nicely in all respects. Everything works. It was originally a military pickup at McChord AFB in Washington state. It later was used by the VA. It moved to Oregon where the Oregon DMV assigned it a Oregon VIN (see picture). It's never seen salt roads--no rust. It has a clean Oregon title in my name. It was restored lovingly by its previousowner in Oregon about ten years ago. The Oregon owner placed it in an auto museum in California where it resided and then ultimately was sold to me (and so returned to Oregon). Much attention was given to the little details. Gauges and electrical all work. Engine runssmoothly and the originalfloor stick shift moves the gears smoothly--just as it should be. Everything is in fine working order. The floor starter button is slightly tricky if you are new to it--needs to be pressed at the right angle. But it always starts and once you have learned the angle, noproblem. It is fun to drive. Brakes including emergency brake are in find condition. The only nonoriginal aspect is that it was converted to the 12 volt system. I consider this one updatea plus--the engine always starts right up! Dash is very nice and unmolested. The truck has a very nice deep blue paint job.I was told it was done about ten years ago but still has that new carmirror shine. It reflects objects nearby as you can see from the photos. It was a very good job, and the paint glows a deep dark blue. I can find no rust on the vehicle. All the wood and chrome in the bed has been replaced. This Chevy always gets a lot of comments and waves wherever it goes.
Please only bid if you are serious. It is being sold without a warranty given it age. It is being sold with no reserve.I will be losing my garage space for it, so I need to pass it on. So, you may have a nice very original excellent driver classicfor not much money. If you do not have much history on ebay please contact me before bidding.
