Despite a long production run from 1951 to 1981, the most famous Bel Airs are the 1955 to 1957 models. The styling was unique and all new, with even a Ferrari inspired grill. Powerful V8s and optional automatic transmission meant the Bel Air was cutting edge as far as mechanicals. It was a high water mark for... Chevrolet and the cars were even referred to as the "Hot One" in marketing literature. The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air offered here for sale was fully restored, thousands of dollars were spent to create this impressive machine. The restoration took place over several years starting in 2016 and completed in 2018, with the work being done by several professional shops in Minnesota. The drivetrain consists of a healthy 350 v8 with a custom cam, headers and dual exhaust with electric cut outs is paired with a Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. The bright red paint shows incredibly well, and when the light catches it just right you can see the tastefully done ghost flames in the front of the car.
