Here we have a 1971 Chevrolet Blazer for your viewing pleasure. This is a mostly unrestored more of a resurrected kind of a Blazer. First a little about the truck itself. It just came out of 14 years of storage. The previous owner had started building it into a trail rig. He installed 8 lug axles out of a 1985 chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. The rear is the bulletproof corporate 14 bolt and the front is a Dana 44. There is a new BDS 4" lift on the truck. No blocks in the rear. Also has greasable shackles on the back.The engine is what appears to still be the original 350 4bbl quadrajet and has the SM465 4 speed transmission and NP205 transfercase behind that. The truck runs and drives as it should. It doesn't leak any oil, doesn't smoke, starts and drives like it should. This one is the CST Custom Sport Truck package, also has factory AC which is complete minus the compressor. I do have a few good compressors stashed away if someone would like one they are welcome to it. I tore the truck pretty far apart and went through it fixing and replacing about everything it needed. I've only driven the truck about 100 miles since completion. Rite about $10,000 in new parts. New BDS 4" lift, Rancho RS 5000 shocks front and rear, new front brake calipers and pads, new rubber brake hoses front and back, wheel cylinders in the rear. All fluids throughout the truck are new. Engine oil, trans, transfercase, front and rear end, power steering, coolant, and all brake fluid. Front and rear ends were cleaned, new seals and cover gaskets. New vent hoses, front wheel bearings packed with new seals. New fuel tank, sending unit, and every rubber hose associated with the fuel system including filler hoses were all replaced. I disassembled the cab, soaked it, and built it up. It performs flawlessly. New AC plugs, updated HEI big cap distributor. $600 worth of new aluminized exhaust with Flow Master Mufflers from the manifolds back. It sounds really good. I put about $2100 worth of new tires and wheels on it. 35x12.50x17 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM3's. Mickey Thompson 17x9 Aluminum wheels, and all new lug nuts. They look awesome. They like everything else have about 100 miles on them. Optima battery, New Blazer Emblems, grille emblem is also new. The grille shell and insert are excellent survivors I had hanging in the shop. The one that was on the Blazer wasn't in very good shape. I also replaced the tailgate with a mint survivor I had stashed away. It was stripped and completely repainted. Its basically perfect inside and out. All new lower woodgrain trim, new upper and lower tailgate trim. The bumpers were on it when I bought the truck. The rear especially is very stout. I would feel sorry for anyone that ran into it. Its a Honda killer for sure!Brand new windshield and gasket, new dash pad, new ACC carpet front to rear, new sill plates. The interior rear side panels and door panels are all brand new. Rite about $900 worth. The best you can buy with all of the correct scrolling etc. The seats are late model Chevy Tahoe. The fronts are power and I have them all wired in. The rear sits in a custom built tray that bolts to the floor. The seat is setup on a quick disconnect like it was in the Tahoe. It comes out in seconds. Everything is well built. The seats are all low mile with little to no wear. All 3 have factory GM seatbelts built into them. New floor mats, I went though the instrument cluster and cleaned everything, new bezel. Every light bulb in the truck is new, side marker lights are all new. Brand new Comfort grip steering wheel, on and on. Lots and lots of little parts here and there.The transmission is completely rebuilt by Inland Truck parts. Also has a complete new clutch system. It all works perfect now. Again, there are many other things I'm either forgetting about or are really to miner and numerous to mention. Ive owned literally hundreds of these trucks and know them inside and out. If it needed it, it got it.The body does have some rust here and there, nothing horrible. The rocker boxes are all still good. Just spots here and there. There are also dings, scratches, scrapes, chips etc. You are not going to go to your local car show and win best of paint with this thing. If you want a perfect Blazer I have several that are perfect. They are priced around $55k. This one can be bought for under 20 grand. Honestly this old Blazer is a lot more fun to drive than a perfect one. You can load up the kids, go camping, fishing, head to to the beach with the top off, whatever you prefer. If it gets rained on, no big deal. It's got 48 years of natural "patina"The black chip guard was put on some 20 years ago, long before I got the truck. I see it's had new rocker panels installed at some point. Even with the old paint, people love it. It gets lots of looks and compliments. The headlights all work, turn signals, brake lights, heater blower etc. The doors lock and unlock, this thing starts runs and drives as it should. I took it on a 40 mile trip last week to get the new windshield. It goes down the interstate nicely. It does have 4.10 gears and has a post trac in the rear. Windshield wipers work and are new as well. If your looking for a nice complete turnkey Blazer than you won't have to spend a bunch of time working on to enjoy it, this might be for you. It's affordable for a first gen Blazer. These things are doing nothing but increasing in price every month.I reserve the rite to end the auction early as it could sell locally. A few things I forgot to mention:The top is in very nice condition, it doesn't have the notorious top sag like a lot of them. Theres no real damage to it thats mentionable. The hatch is also in very good shape. No chunks broken off and no previous repaired damage. Both in great shape. Both mirrors are new, Starter and alternator are new as well.
