One of only 2,574 this 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Spyder convertible is among the rarest and most desirable corvairs ever produced. The Monza Spyder performance option was first introduced in 1962 and featured a turbocharged engine, exclusive instrument panel, performance suspension and unique badging. The Monza 900 convertible was also first introduced in 1962. This Spyder convertible is ready to be restored by someone with the time and patience to commit to it. Originally a New Mexico car, this Spyder convertible is rust free and solid throughout. New floor pans were installed by the previous owner as well as an automatic console shifter from a later model vehicle that can be used or removed. The previous owner also completed the paint and work. The paint is new with minor blemishes here and there from sitting in storage. The original color was Roman Red with a red interior and a white convertible top. Aftermarket reverse lights were added to the tail section on the car as pictured. Vehicle is being sold as is. No engine or transmission body only. White wall tires pictured do not go with car however tires will be provided to make operable. Here is your chance to own a unique piece of Corvair history.
