1969 Nova Custom
Turnkey rustfree
Though not perfect but extremely clean, has won 3 awards, 1st 2nd and 3rd place
This is a 1969 body that sits on a later model F-body front chassis like a Camaro or firebird from the 70's
Brakes and suspension are from these years making it handle and stop like these cars while enjoying parts and aftermarket option at cheaper prices. Has the 1,1/4 front sway bar with a smaller rear bar.
Ford 9 inch with 3:43 gears in posi traction make for a good drive off the line with good highway mileage, narrowed slightly to allow a nice deep dish 8.5 inch wheel deep offset while having no issues with any tire rub, the front uses a standard offset on a 7inch rim
Engine
Pontiac Ram Air IV aluminum heads with larger 1.25 intake and larger exhaust (stainless Valves). Gasket matched and ported/polished, .060 TRW slugs making around 10:1 compression that runs very well on pump premium. Polished beam rods, fully blueprinted, hi volume hi pressure pump, Windage tray and scraper.
Camshaft specs - dual profile based on the original HP cam for these heads but more modern in a hydraulic. Makes the engine purr with good vacuum at idle around 15-16 inches. No plug fouling at all as I did try other cams and wasn't happy with drivability. This is a very drivable package now Edelbroch RPM manifold with Mallory Unilite and MSD. Rochester carb fully tuned sits on top, starts in any weather with automatic choke that actually works. This engine makes at least 400hp with over 400 ft lbs of torque in a small package that allows easy maintenance with power brakes and A/C.
Exhaust
Dual exhaust in a 2.5 pipe, starts from the Ram Air Cast Iron manifolds that fit the heads, no leak stock performance manifolds that the factory used on these engines. Hi Flow mufflers with stainless supertrapp mufflers for tips, adjustable for sound vs performance.
Transmission
Turbo 400 with shift-kit and mild 2k rpm stall speed, very streatable
Tires
Dunlop GT Qualifier 15 inch, 245/60/15 rear 235/60/15 front
Vintage air system
Factory A/C dash
Factory tinted glass
