Description

Up for sale is my 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup with 15K trouble free miles on the original build. This truck started outas a clean west Texas truck that was sold by Modern Chevrolet in Lubbock, Tx. The truck was bought in 2014 from an older gentleman outside of Lubbock. The truckwas in its original formfor almost a year before it was disassembled and built it into the truck it is today. This is one of the cleanest Patina style trucks that I have ever ran across. Absolutely no metal work on this truck. Surface rust only.

Powertrain: I replaced the 4.8 engine that came in it when I purchased it. I installed a completely rebuilt LM 7 5.3 engine with Escalade cam and heads(2500 miles). Engine rebuilt by Don Hardy Race cars. Street tuned and runs great. Runs great on 87 unleaded regular. It is wired with a new PSI Conversion harness and computer, All sensors are GM/ Delphi. The transmission is a fully rebuilt 4L60E(2500 miles) with a Phoenix 2200 converter(2500 miles). Shifts great. Also a new Gen IV vintage air system was installed when built with the electric servo's, Sanden compressor and Quik Performance bracket kit. Blows Ice cold air with heat and defrost. The radiator isan aluminumR&D Fabrication LS swap radiator good to 550 hp. Fan is a Flex A Lite Cyclone and it is controlled by a Painless fan relay kit. The truck has a completely rebuilt GM 8.5" Camaro 10 bolt with 3.73's. Drive shaft was retubed and balanced. The truck has a Tanks Inc. fuel tank with an in tank EFI pump. Supply and return lines are both -6AN braided steel lines.

Chassis/Suspension: The truck rides on 5 WELD wheels with very good Cooper Corba tires all around including the spare. The spare has never been on the ground. The truck has a TCI Engineering Custom IFS featuring tubular upper and lower control arms, Ridetech Shockwaves, Mustang Power rack and pinion and a sway bar. The front end was boxed and 100% TIG welded. Front brakes are 11" Wilwood's with drilled and slotted rotors. The rear brakes are rebuilt 11x2 GM drums. Rear suspension is a TCI 4 link with air bags. The air ride control system is manufactured by Air Ride Technologies (Ridetech). It isa 4 way adjustable kit. The air system consists of a Accuair5 gallon tank and a pair of Viair 400C compressors housed in a Grunion Performance bracket. It will air up from empty to full pressure within 60 seconds. Has the pre-set option. Reese custom receiver hitch installed with 4-prong trailer connection. Lokar emergency brake.

Body/Interior: The body is 100% untouched as it was found. I installed a genuine Fulton visor and genuine "Smash hit" grille guard(very rare). I installed a military foot locker with lock to store tools, floor jack etc. All of the glass(REAL TINTED GLASS), door seals, cab rubber weather stripping, channels fuzzies etc., windshield and rear window seals replaced. Installed Newport 2-speed electric wipers w/intermittent option. New blades and arms. Both doors have been completely rebuilt and roll up and down smoothly. The door lock works with key. The interior was insulated with FAT MAT to keep the noise down and heat out. It is quiet inside for a 1949 model. Check all the truck vitals with the VHX Dakota Digital custom gauge overlay . It was designed based off of a aircraft instrument panel. Tells you all you want to know @ the push of a button or glance @ the instruments. The truck also has a Dakota Digital cruise control system that works flawlessly. The seat is a 88-98 Chevrolet bench seat which is covered in black vinyl and Porsche plaid material. Door panels also share the same material. Headliner was replaced with a vinyl one piece design. The inside of the cab/doors were stripped to bare metal and primed before being painted the black finish that you see today. The body was rewired with a brand new harness. Truck has LED parking lights and tail lights that look awesome at night. The bed floor is cabinet grade plywood, waterproofed with a teak oil finish applied for easy maintenance. Floor is fully removable to access the underside of the truck but has added supports strong enough to carry an engine in the bed if necessary. The truck has a Flaming River tilt column, column shifter and a 15" Chevy 55/56 steering wheel. There is a Pioneer cd player mounted under the seat powering 2 Kicker 6x9's in the cab corners in custom brackets. New stainless dash grill and glove box door. Lots more little things I have forgotten to list @ this time. Folder full of receipts, instructions and maintenance info. Fly in, drive home in comfort. Some pix with deflated bags, some in normal driving position. Serious buyers call 512-466-5307 for more info and pictures. Bidders with less than 10 feed backs, call before making offers.

No trades. Don't need any assistance of any kind to sell or transport this truck. No solicitors please. If you don't have the money for the purchase in hand, don't waste your time or mine.

$39,500.00 OBO
