We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer isresponsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer's Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it'sthe buyer's responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can't make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.
If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer's responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on the vehicle because they now own it. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 781-763-7447 Ext. 208. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable, so please make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you bid. Our shipper will get the car to you within 4 days to 2 weeks at a fair price. If you'd like to call him for a price, that would be fine.
All cars left on our lot after 30 days will be charged $18 a day and we hope we never have to collect a dime. But we don't have enough space to store everyone's car after they're paid for. It's the buyer's responsibility to pick up their car that they just purchased. Please remember we are on the buyer's side. Please only bid if you are a real bidder who wants to purchase the vehicle, and again, if you haven't purchased 3 items over the last 3 months we will remove your bid. If you're a zero bidder and you bid at the last second just before the auction ends, the vehicle will be offered to the bidder before you and you will not end up with the vehicle, so you need to call us.
We're offering for sale a 1968 Chevy SS Convertible True Super Sport. Please, if you have time, check the VIN and check the tag on the firewall for the numbers. If you Google 1968 Super Sport VIN check, you'll see my car is genuine. This car is a true survivor. All matching numbers, engine and transmission and we believe all body numbers are also matching. This car starts and runs 100%, exactly how you'd expect it to. We'd like to mention some of the factory options, including 3 speed turbo hydromatic, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, factory dual exhaust with two brand new mufflers, rally wheels, and one of the best features is the ice cold air conditioning and bucket seats and console. It also has a great working power top and a glass rear window that you can see in the pictures is still in really nice shape. It also comes with the original parade boot. Some of the work that's been done recently is: rebuilt front end including springs, shocks, rear springs and shocks, newer aluminum radiator, brand new brakes all around and they stop on the dime.
As far as the condition of the vehicle, the car was purchased new in Florida and that's where it was repurchased when we bought it. We think its always been a Florida car, but we don't know for sure. This car was purchased by a classic auto broker in Florida and it belonged to an older lady that wasn't using it, and it sat in her garage. That's why the 69K miles are actual, as printed on the title, because the car wasn't used a lot. That actually is the reason it's all matching numbers, because nobody ever messed with the car. There is a little rust on the car, being in Florida. There's still dampness in the garage and rust on the bottom. And the salt gets in the air and rusts things from the top. We are hiding absolutely nothing. We've taken pictures of every inch of the car we can get to with the camera. Any and all rust that's on this car you will see in the pictures. And being that we haven't done any bodywork on the car, what you see is exactly what you're getting, and we think it's really nice.
If the new buyer wanted to take the car to the next level up and make the body showroom new, it would add a lot of value to the car. But we're selling it as an original survivor. One lucky bidder is going to win a super cool Super Sport in 7 days when the auction is over. Also, please click the link below to view a slideshow of 234 more photos of this car!
