LOW RESERVE The 1953 Chevy C3100 pickup features an inline overhead valve, six-cylinder Thriftmaster 216.5 cubic-inch engine. Its bore and strokeare 3.5 inches by 3.75 inches, with a compression ratio of 6.6:1. It generates 84 net horsepower at 3,400 rpm. Its maximum torque rating was 170 pound-feet at 1,000 to 2,000 rpm.
Chassis
The 1953 C3100 half-ton stepside pickup had a ladder-type frame with channeled side rails and five cross members. Its three-speed manual on column transmission uses a single-disc clutch. It has an I-beam type front axle with a semi-floating rear axle. Its rear-end axle hypoid gear ratio was 4.11:1. The brakesare hydraulic expanding-drum types. This truck has been updated to 12 volt electric system and unleaded fuel.

Older restoration but still in excellent condition. Truck has been updated with a Optima gel cell battery. Engine runs smooth and has plenty of power with no smoke, 3 speed transmission shifts out smooth and pulls strong with no slips, everything seems to work with no issues.
