Description

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Convertible for consideration. This Chevelle is a clone and shows very well. The vehicle is finished in a nice Yellow paint that shines and shows exceptionally well. The interior is largely in new condition. The power top, convertible are new, along with the seats which are freshly redone, along with new door panels and carpeting. The chrome trim and bright work are new as well. The non... numbers matching 396 v8 fires right up and the automatic transmission shifts through the gears as it should. The car came out of the dry climate of Arizona. The engine and transmission came out of a Impala. Other highlights include freshly powder coated wheels that color batch the body, with factory hubcaps and like new tires, headers, Merlin aluminum intake with a Demon 4bbl carburetor, power brakes and owner's manual. The Chevelle proved to be reliable and durable while being offered in many different variations. 1964 was the first model year and also the same year the "muscle car" era was beginning. The GM A-body platform provided many legends of this era including the Chevelle as well as the Pontiac GTO, Oldsmobile 442, Buick GS, and more. When people think about muscle cars the Chevelles produced from 1968-72 jump right to mind. The Chevelle 2nd generation was the GM A-body perfect size for anything you wanted to stuff under the hood to make your ride jump off the line when commanded to do so. Their bold lines leave a lasting, timeless style of the American muscle era.
