AMAZING PATINA ... 1949 CHEVROLET "THRIFTMASTER" MODEL 1434 3/4 TON PICKUP TRUCK. This Canadian made Chevrolet equates to its American 3600 series counterpart. Has the dress up chrome 5 window cab package with rare column shift. Basically a solid original rust free vheicle, which has been stored inside since new, with farm bruising as shown in the pictures. The passenger side door is fixable by capable body man but I have sourced a replacement door which is included in the auction. Was driven until 2008 when engine developed a knock and was parked. Still has keys in ignition from when parked. Currently missing the generator which has been lost in storage. Interior is nice and glass is good except for drivers side front windshield(cracked) which is easily sourced on Ebay and other outlets. The steering boxis very stiff, and in need of greasing(probably king pins seized), making it hard to turn the steering wheel at present. Tires are all up and it rolls fine.It has not run in many years as the pictures show so it will need a total restore but what a great start to any project. One of the nicer originals you will come by these days. Will provide clean Canadian title and all paperwork necessary to title this truck in your home state. Truck is currently stored at Winnipeg, MB, Canada but I have a yard in Pembina ND where I can deliver too for pickup by successful bidder or carrier of choice.
