Best of all. 1974 year does not require SMOG in California! That means you can customize engine however you want, you can also swap it for literally any engine you want (e.g. LS). 1975 and later none of that is possible in California as engine has to be original to pass SMOG. If you buy 1975 Blazer with Carburetor you have to keep that engine with that carburetor to pass SMOG.
