1956 Chevrolet Corvette Dual Quad/Automatic Numbers Matching
Description
1956 Chevrolet Corvette, Beautifully restored, with 39,xxx miles (title is marked original miles but we do not have any other supporting documentation.
This is an early ‘56 built around the 7th of February, 1956, being the 101st 1956 Corvette built.
The car was purchased new on April 24th by Richard Charlton of Scottsdale Arizona. He reportedly kept the car until the mid 70’s. We were told that Dick Ingle purchased the car in 1979 and had it judged, receiving a 98.0 (we do not have this certification). The vehicle is reported to have been in his collection until 1995.
The car was then reportedly purchased by Larry Robinson and moved to Boise, Idaho. The 56 was then purchased for a private collection until sold to us in July 2013 by Turner Automotive who had the car listed on consignment.
Being an early ‘56, the car has a few oddball quirks such as headlight bezels painted like the body color, an original, first edition owners manual (included), with all correct, original coded and dated equipment from the engine, transmission, glass, distributor, and hoses, the tire jack also appears to be the original. We also have also have a copy of the original title from 1956.
This is not your average 1956, but a well preserved example of a classic American icon that anyone would be proud to own at a fair price.
Please feel free to come and inspect the vehicle and ask questions.
