Description

Here's a blast from the past
a lady told me she picked up hippies on their way to Woodstock in such a van
Runs really good, starts easily and stays running, no chugging or missing, great Americana
V8 283 with 3 speed on the column(I learned in less than 5 minutes, I knew how to drive a manual already but not a 3 on the tree)
Not sure if odometer has rolled over or not or how many times
Original color of the van was blue with blue interior. We home sprayed it inside and out because we wanted to - nothing is professionally done. Van is in need of further restoration but it should drive anywhere you need to go
GOOD>>>>
Runs good, temperature is normal, engine sounds goodNo cracked glassNew clutch done recentlyInterior has been partially redoneBlue shag carpet installed several years agoBlue button tuck padded sides and ceilingBlack vinyl button tuck door panels on large doorsBlack button tuck vinyl seatsLarge fatties on the rear and normal size wheels on frontDoesn't leak water anywhereRoof vent worksFloorpans and underneath are solidNew windshield rubber seals
BAD>>>>
Has rust on lower drivers side (I have a curved piece of metal for replacement)Has rust holes on passenger side door and rust behind thatTires have 20-40% treadPaint is not professional it is was done to make it more island appealing for mePaint is rough in many places (needs a thorough sanding)Dent on front of van (see pic)Interior has been can painted It looks better than it did - believe mePaint is flecking on top of vanAM/FM stereo has a mind of it's ownOld door rubber sealsNewer brake workBolts are too short for the rear thick wheels (would recommend spares to be put on back if driving it home)

The van is easier to drive than you'd think especially that it has no power brakes or steering (came that way),People enjoy it of all agesand always have a story to tell. It's a delight

Received questions....
Is that fluid from the van is it leaking something? No. The van had just been winterized with stronger antifreeze to prevent engine damage over the winter. Some had to be drained and then refilled. I don'tthink the van leaks anything, maybe a couple drops of oil, if that.
Is the chrome peeling on the handles? No. Someone in the past had sprayed the door handles black. I'm still getting all the paintcleaned off them. Almost done.
