1974 Chevy G20 Van Shorty
Description
Meet Buttercup. Buttercup has been my soulmate for six years and it breaks my heart to part ways with her, but I am moving to LA in a month and sadly it just wont be practical to drive her around the dusty streets of LA. She needs the open road!! I am the 3rd owner of this magical van...all women owners might I add. Her second owner did a major over-haul on the van starting in 1997 and including a rebuilt engine that was installed in '03. She has been taken very very good care of over the years and I have a binder with a receipt of every service that has ever been done since the purchase by her second owner. This beast is truly made for the road, there are two batteries, one main battery and one auxiliary which all the lights in the interior are connected to. It also has a back up gas tank. The two bench seats fold flat to make a full-ish sized bed. There are some small shelves inside as well and a CV radio even. I had every intention of re-doing the interior, it is currently very paisley, but I just never quite had the time. I just got the oil changed and I am taking it in for a quick tune-up this week. There is so so so much good about this van! There is some wear and tear, all cosmetic.
- There is a little bit of rust starting to appear on the doors.
- I gently backed into a tree a few years ago so there is a small dent on the right back-side that also has some rust.
- The light behind the gear shift dial has gone out, but it is easy to feel the gears when shifting.
- The upholstery on the front seats are starting to deteriorate, nothing a patch couldn't fix!
- I recently repaired the headliner, but it will probably need to be replaced in the next few years.
I really can't say enough about this van, it has been such an amazing adventure vehicle over the years and I will miss it dearly. I would very much like to sell it to someone who will love it and care for it as I have. $6000 OBO
