Description

Thank you for taking the time to learn about this rare Corvette roadster.

This numbers matching 1963 roadster has the original 250 HP engine (most torque of all non-fuel injected corvettes), 4 speed transmission and positraction. But what makes it particularly rare is this car has not been restored. This is one of the finest examples of a perfectly preserved classic Corvette. The original inspection markings, build number and other markings are from the factory. Although I have not gone, it would be a great car to take to Bloomington

As the photo's show, most of the original factory markings remain in the car. Also, note the VIN number tag. The original VIN tag was spot welded to the bird cage. In the beginning, the spot welds where made through the paint, which made the attachment weak. Many early production the tags would fall off. Not long into production, the paint was ground off the area where the VIN tag was attached, making the spot weld adhere. If the VIN tag has paint at the weld locations, it may not be attached in the original fashion. Also note the engine pad (VIN number followed by F0I29RC) has the correct and original broach marks.

The originality is supported by numerous NCRS Top Flight Awards (the latest in 2007) and a Founders Award. I rarely drive the car, only enough to exercise it and keep it in top mechanical condition. The Top Flights are representative of the cars current condition.

This Corvette runs and handles like a dream. I would not hesitate to take it on a road trip.It does get driven, so it shows some minor wear. It could use a new top. Minor chipping in the paint and light wear inside. The paint, interior and mechanicalhas been well taken care of. This car shows well. It is NOT a fixer upper. The condition is excellent for an original car. All the gages work, including the clock. It is an early 63, so it has the AM radio with the wonderbar signal seeker (which also works as original).

This, with all the original pieces (to many to list), make this a truly rare and unique investment opportunity. The car deserves to be shown. With other things going on, I just don't have time to enjoy it like I used to.
