Description

1956 Chevrolet Cameo Carrier 3124Original 265V8 and Auto Hydramatic trans truck!!Only 1452 units built in 56' the rarest tri5 year by far!!Only 76k original miles!!
What an amazing truck! WOW she is beautiful making people stop dead in their tracks and point and stare as it drives down the road. This truck wasbeautifullyrestored back to all original except for a few tasteful upgrades. This these included removing the original 265 v8 w/hydramatic transmission and installing a rebuilt 283 V8 engine and th350 auto trans. Included in the upgrade are power DISC brakes and power steering. She drives so smooth and nice with what is believed to be only 76k original miles, check out my video to see what I mean!
The paint is absolutely beautiful, laser straight panels with a deep mirror like finish, this truck will stun you. The interior is equally beautiful with new vinyl bench seat, door panels, headliner, and carpet. Everything works, all the lights and gauges including the more accurate after market gauges seen in the video.
The odometer on this 56 Chevrolet Apache Cameo reads 76928 which are believed to be the actual miles to the body/frame. The Chevrolet model 3124 also known as the Cameo featured car-like stying lines fiberglass rear fenders and two-tone paint. These trucks were also know for their luxurious interiors. The Cameo truck was not a cheap truck due to its more expensive styling. Sales did not start off well for this generation which is the reason for the low production numbers just over 1450 produced in 1956. There were not a lot of these trucks produced so when you see one on the road or at a show you appreciated the styling all the more. A frame off restoration was performed. The oak bed is in great condition and looks fantastic when you unsnap and pull the vinyl bed cover away.
Here is a video link to the truck, just replace the "DOT" with an actual .https://vimeoDOTcom/159972559
