Description

For your consideration is an incredibly well and highly documented 1975 Cosworth Vega. #446 of 2061 in the total run of first year production in 1975. This is by far and in every way the best one, most highly documented and lowest production number of the 5 that I have owned to date. The car hales from Ken Dixon Chevrolet in Waldorf Maryland where it was purchased new. ( see original invoice and window sticker in pics.) The car was sold to a museum in the Mid 80's where it sat on display until 2 years ago. The gentleman I purchased the car from got it back to running and driving condition where he enjoyed the heck out of it. In doing so, he changed the original fuel injection (yes, every original piece of that comes with the car.) to dual side draft webber carbs and intake, and the ignition to M.S.D. where it wouldn't have an issue running as he was talked into by his mechanic. Along with that, rebuilt the brake cylinders, changed fuel line and filter, new belts and hoses and brand new tires. The interior is overall excellent.. The driver seat was starting to split along the stiching and were replaced with o.e.m. grade covers. (original ones still go with the car)As far as the body, It is beautiful and in great shape still having it's original paint on 98% + of it.. The car was polished out and had a new set of both decals and striping added to it. It has a couple small spots (touched up) of paint / rust on the hatch lower window corners as did they all and a few rock chips from not having mud flaps. The bottom of the car is in excellent condition and shows very well, ( minor surface rust where paint has chipped off) and never a repair anywhere and no rust in the floors or frame everOverall, the car is certainly collector grade (and every original part taken off the car comes with it) with some minor touch up and has an incredibly low reserve for the guy or gal wanting to get started in collecting cars on a budget with the value of the car doing nothing but going up, up, up. It's a Great opportunity to own a piece of history... cheap and better than money in the bank..As always... I welcome inspections (or at least blow up the pictures on your computer) and offers prior to the end of the sale.
