Calif car, factory air. Stock #: V18736 Exterior Color: Lemans Blue Interior Color: Black Body Type: Hardtop Transmission: 5 Speed Engine: 502-502 HP Title Condition: Clear 502 big block, 5 speed, factory air and great colors! Same owner 15 years, over $70,000 invested. Has a pile of receipts. Well over $30,000 in mechanical work, all done by GM techs at Chevy dealer.
EXTERIOR: Beautiful factory colors. Code 71, Lemans blue with no vinyl top. Body is clean and straight. Metal flake is laid out evenly, clear coat is polished glossy. Has white SS stripes. Jambs are clean. Overall the chrome and trim is very straight and shiny. Glass is clear. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. Staggered size SS wheels give it a hot rod stance. 14s in front, 15s in back with some meaty size BFGs. Two more 14 inch wheels are also included. The car shows really well, like a show car. The paint is over 15 years old, it still presents itself like a show car.
INTERIOR: I would classify the interior as excellent. Everything looks and fits like new. The cushions in the seats feel new. The upholstery, seat trim and headrests are mint. Door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles are new. Headliner is new and fits tight as a drum. New matching visors and mirror. Mesh rear shelf is like new. Console is new, has 5-speed shift indicator. New carpet, sill plates and embroidered floormats. Entire dash area is restored. New deluxe wheel, heater controls, vents, instrument panel etc. Has a nice set of white face Chevy gauges including tachometer. Retro stereo fits in factory hole, aux plug in the console. Has speakers molded into the kick panels, 6x9 speakers in back and an amplifier.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: GM ZZ502 crate motor installed at a Chevy dealer. Very reliable 502 big block with 502 horsepower. Has aluminum heads, intake, water pump and valve covers. Forged pistons, rods and crankshaft. Roller rockers. Google GM part #12496962 to get complete specs. Upgraded with coated Hooker headers, HEI ignition and big Holley carb. The factory air conditioning system has been restored, blows cold. Many new components- wiper motor, horns, plated brake booster, master cylinder, a/c compressor etc. Radiator, clutch fan, shroud and hoses all look new. Wiring is neatly ran. Washers are even hooked up. Everything is neatly painted. Has hood insulation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean original metal. Even the 1/4s look original, no splices. Has a coat of spatter paint. SS wheel for a spare, has jack assembly and a mat. New weatherstrip. Jamb and under the trunk lid are painted slick. Includes car cover and extra 14 inch SS wheel.
UNDERSIDE: Bone dry California floors. No patches or rust. Front end was gone through. Bottom of the motor is clean, has high torque starter. Installed at a Chevy dealer-new TKO 600 5-speed, clutch, Hurst linkage, bell housing etc. 3.73 posi was installed at Chevy dealer, has aluminum cover. Fat custom exhaust with x-pipe. New fuel tank, straps and sending unit. Has custom traction bars in back. Brakes were redone, has disc in front. E-brake system is complete.
I'm impressed now that I've inspected this car. It looks fantastic, everything seems proper, functions properly. Great combination of features. What more can you ask for? This car has it!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.

About Volo Auto Museum No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB. Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down. Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
