1961 Corvair Rampside Pickup

Description

1961 Rampside Truck, this is the truck former owner JR Read owned and restored. Truck was bought in April 1998 milage 49K. After purchase started out by:
Changed ratio to 3:55
Replaced clutch
Installed new exhause system
Rebuild carbs
Grease rear wheel bearings
repair turn signal switch
Re bush shift linkage
Reseal transmission
Replace Gas pedal
Replace wheels and tires
From that point to June 2004 just maintained with grease and oil changes

Replace all steel brake lines and hoses
Replace single master cylinder arm with dual master cylinder
Replace upper and lower front suspension bushings
Replace shocks front and rear
Replace idler arm
Replace boomerang
Replace lower ball joints
Replace outer tie rod ends
Replace bad float in gas tank
greased rear wheel bearings
Rebuild alternator
Replaced jets in carbs to 52

Replaced clutch cable
New battery and cables
Replaced starter
Replaced muffler
Adj turn signal lever
Changed front shocks front side leaking
2013
Replace tires
Body shop repairs
Changed ignition switch
Installed spyder dash
2014
Replace engine with 1964 truck block 110 hp
Forged pistons 10 over
10/10 crank
new cam, lifters, all head work done
Deep oil pan
Pertronix ignition, new plugs and wires
New clutch, Harmonic balancer, flywheel
New back up switch
Grease rear wheel bearings
2015 when I bought the truck
I had the paint wet sanded and buffed
Painted bed with black bed liner
pulled wheels and tires and had wheels painte same color of truck body
Had new seat made dark blue vinyl
This truck has had a steady diet of Mobil 1 oil and 93 octain gas.
