A Survivor! 1992 Chevy S-10 Long Bed in Solid Shape
Description
I bought this truck 20 years ago and it spent that time as the "family truck" in my father's garage. We only put about 15,000 miles on it in that time. Used it for mulch and furniture and college move ins and such. New clutch, breaks, tires. A little surface rust on the bottom of the fenders (see photos) but super solid throughout. The heat blower will need replaced. Years ago my Dad had a new heater core installed and whoever installed it blocked off the AC. The AC was ice cold and may still work just fine once the blower box is sorted. Very restorable/customizable. These make awesome low riders or drag racers -- unique 7 foot bed. Or would make a good weekend truck, which is how we used it 20 years. Runs, drives and shifts great. It has the 2.8 liter V6 motor but is honkering for a V8. I bought a new truck and no longer need it, but I was its caretaker for a long time. It gets a lot of honks on the road because in the northeast, trucks nearly 30 years old are usually rust buckets. This one is not. Very solid and a joy to drive. I also installed a new stereo system a few years ago. I just got it inspected in Pittsburgh, PA and it passed with flying colors. Good until January 2021 in PA. I have the title in hand.
