Only 705mi on the Odometer - 1986 C30 Eagle Bob Tail - Military Aircraft Tug6.2L Detroit Diesel, a TH400, and a NP208 transfer. 12V Civilian wiring.Runs like a top and shows extremely low wear inside and out.Fisher Plow and Salt Spreader were added by previous owner and work good.The planetary axles are ZF APL-345/B and have built-in 4 wheel hydraulic steering that is selectable via a lever on the floor of the cab (regular steer, tight steer, and crab steer options) and controlled by the steering wheel. They also have wet brakes that are inside the planetaries as well as a micro lock for a parking brake.
This truck was purpose built for towing C130s on flat tarmac, with that it is geared very low, the current transfer case makes for approx 18mph top speed and will need to be swapped to increase top speed, the suspension is stock as built and has rubber blocks rather than springs & shocks, these would need to be swapped if you want to take this off-road.
Excellent truck to build a rock crawler / mud truck or keep it as a plow rig- the axles alone are worth it!
