1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray
Description
Up for sale is a beautiful 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray, with only little more then 69000 ml on the odometer. The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced from 1967 to 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records. The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, and marks the second time the Corvette would carry the Stingray name, though only for the 1969 - 1976 model years. This time it was a single word as opposed to Sting Ray as used for the 1963 - 1967 C2 generation. The name would then be retired until 2014 when it was re-introduced with the release of the C7. 1973 started Corvette's transformation from muscle to touring sports car. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a nose job. Indeed, redesigned body mounts and radial tires did improve Corvette's ride, and interior sound levels were reduced by 40%.[18] The chrome rear bumper was essentially carried over from the previous year. However, the chrome blade front bumper was dropped for the federally required 5 mph (8.0 km/h) standard for a light-weight front bumper system with an inner transverse tube attached to the frame with two Omark-bolts-(special steel fasteners which absorbed energy when a forming die, pushed back by the bumper, was forced down their length), and an injection-molded urethane bumper cover. The urethane nose was chosen over Chevy's other alternative, a more protruding version of the previous metal bumper. The new urethane bumper assembly added thirty-five pounds to the front end. Two 350 cu in (5.7 L) small block engines were available. Road & Track magazine stated in a 1973 road test: For all its age, size and compromises, if the Corvette is equipped with the right options it is a pleasant and rewarding car to drive and this 1973 example was one the best Corvettes we've ever driven. The Vette we have in stock for sale is in almost pristine shape for its 46 years of age. The paint is in great shape and condition. No dings are visible on this vehicle. This vehicle comes with tires they have a lot of miles. The interior and the exterior of the Corvette was well maintained and is extra clean. The engine is functioning properly and has no issues. This vehicle has no previous collision damage. The transmission shifts as smoothly as you can expect from a 47 year old car, and the brakes are in great condition. The battery is in excellent condition too. The car had 2 previous owners, and was previously owned by non smoker's. The Corvette has no known mechanical issues at all! Everything works as it should. The steering is very tight. It drives and manually shifts like you would expect from a low mileage Corvette C3. This is a very nice and very low mileage example, don’t let this one slip away. The car has only been gently used. We checked and serviced the car throughout and it needs nothing but a new owner! We took a lot of pictures so you can judge for yourself. The car is currently driven for test drives, so the mileage at the date of sale might be slightly higher. Email me with any questions or call me at 866-716-0365 (Klaus).
