classic vintage chrome chevy 150 tri-five 400 v8 3-speed auto transmission black
Description
When you mix a value price with the iconic lines of a 1957 Chevrolet 150 two-door, you already have a winner. So when it's also an old-school street machine with flame-kissed paint and a big power V8 under the hood, then you know this really is a heck of a deal!
This two-door sedan offers just the right combination of classic beauty with desirable custom upgrades. It all starts with what makes this such a great vintage vehicle. The 150 line received similar trim to the '55 Bel Air. The jet inspired tailfins, wraparound bumpers, and side trim give this one an authentically 1950s look. Plus, the '57 Chevy front end is one of the best icons of the American road. So it's great to have this all so complete on an example with straight and clean fundamentals. Of course, that's not what full attracted you to this car. We know you love the street-eating style of the fire consuming the emblems and hood ornaments. The yellow flames blaze down the body as they fade into a custom multi-color style. And where the flames don't reach, it's covered in a gloss black. It's an older application that looks terrific from across the parking lot, and as people get closer, it has the aged-in appearance that tells you this one actually spent time on the Saturday night blacktop back in the day. So it's an awesome attitude that goes with its powerful heart (more on that in a moment.)
The interior is a full black package that continues the street machine attitude. Two rows of vinyl bench seats have an attractive hint of tuck-n-roll style, and the door/side panels were done to coordinate. This was built for power, and so you'll find weight savings everywhere from the light carpeting to the correct blanking panel for the radio. And the real upgrades in this one are all about performance. That's why you have a B&M floor shifter, crisp auxiliary gauges, and a large AutoMeter Sport-Comp tach mounted prominently on the dash.
These Tri-Five Chevys are iconic for launching the small block era, and this one maximizes that spirit under the hood. The 400 cubic-inch V8 was far larger than what was offered in '57, and in fact, it was the largest small block offered in any car. The bright motor looks great in the dark tidy engine bay, and seems to radiate with power. That's because this is a well-built performance setup. It includes upgrades like aluminum heads, a mild cam, a Pro Comp intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. There are nice supporting components, too, like an electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. This mighty motor fires up with the sweet sound of the upgraded cam, and the Hedman headers add extra power while feeding the rumble of the dual exhaust. The three-speed automatic transmission feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end. And those classic Cragar center line mags have extra wide tires in the rear for added rubber to meet the road.
This is the iconic design you love, and there's a true authentic street machine feel everywhere you look. So at a price like this, you know this is a deal that's going fast. Call today!!!
