While this did not yield a ribbon or plaque, it was a wonderful experience to learn about the originality of the car such as paint application style, interior elements like paint vs dye application on the dash, how the factory cut the carpet. This car also has a wide array of factory inspection markings on the chassis. The car was put on a lift and students of the program had a view of the car from all views uninterrupted.
The car runs and drives very well. Everything on the car works as it should with the exception of the odometer (known to fail) and ammeter gauge. The car also has a clutch related noise which does not affect reliability or performance. This car has never been taken apart, rebuilt or restored and as such it shows normal wear for a survivor. There are two areas in the paint that show wear (drive side fender lip and driver side fender beneath the windshield). The soft top also has rips as the pictures show.
