Classic vintage Chevy pickup custom built chopped top
Description
Custom trucks are all about bringing something unique to the streets. This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 has a chopped roof, ghost pearl flames, a performance V8, custom A/C interior, and much more. But while this is distinct both inside and out, but it never loses the design touches that made this pickup an icon.
This is the right pickup to be chopped. After all, taking five inches out of the rood combines with the 3100's long alligator hood to make this truck look like someone put it in the taffy puller. But that's far from the only custom touch. You may have also noticed that the body is chrome-free, including expertly deleted bumpers and shaved door handles. That's a bold move to really highlight the glossy red, and it also gives this a very sleek and sporty look. Those performance undertones are furthered by the cool pearlescent ghost flames painted on top. Clear headlights, an updated split windshield, and a louvered hood and tailgate all makes for an unforgettable pickup. And while the body may be free of brightwork, we can't have a cool classic American without some polished chrome. So that's reserved for the modern Ridler alloys. Plus, their staggered 18/20 inch front/rear gives this unique pickup an aggressive forward-leaning stance.
Inside it's more bold red. The comfortable cloth on the custom bucket seats coordinates with the carpet, door panels, headliner, and even the custom center console with cup holder. This unit seamlessly flows up to the dashboard, where it meets the AM/FM/CD stereo. The dash is smooth and clean, but they still expertly integrated more great features, like power windows and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The driver's seat is truly a command position with the three-spoke sports steering wheel finished in chrome and red. It's mounted on a tilt column so that you can get a clear view at the crisp VDO gauges.
You are going to love lifting the hood to show off the tidy and bright engine bay. It's dressed correctly with plenty of polished components like the air topper, valve covers, compressor, upgraded billet pulleys, and aluminum radiator. The sharp-looking red block is Chevy's hardy 350 cubic-inch V8. It has some nice power upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer EPS intake. The undercarriage photos remind you this is a fresh build with less than 6,200 miles on it. And you'll also spot upgrades that prove this custom pickup was built to be a true cruiser. This includes newer bushings and a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. Plus, power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and power brakes with front discs make this an effortless classic.
