Description
Up for sale is my beautiful 1972 Chevy C20 Custom Camper Special. This truck underwent a frame off restoration to original specs some 10 years ago which I just refreshed including paint, trim, engine rebuild (numbers matching, first time rebuilt), brake system rebuilt, and a new Vintage Air system to replace the original Harrison system. All parts of the Harrison system are included with the sale. The Vintage Air system is lighter weight, low profile, and works much better without any modifications to the vehicle.
The truck is finished in its original Medium Bronze Metallic over white with a stock black interior. Well equipped truck originally ordered with 350 V8, TH350 automatic trans, AC, PS, PB, radio, Custom trim, camper special package - heavy duty rear leaf springs, front disc brakes, & travel tanks (3 gas tanks with switch on the go capabilities!)
I've had this truck for about 7 years and it gets more attention than any other classic I have. It really is a special vehicle, and certainly one of the cleanest c20s out there. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere at any time. Dead reliable, I've never, ever had an issue. Over the years I've had it up to Seattle, Napa, Sonoma, Big Sur, Vegas, San Diego, etc. As well as to the hardware store and to take the neighbors and their kids to pick up Christmas trees. This all was before the engine rebuild of course.
The only reason I'm selling is that my wife and I are moving to Colorado and I've too many toys.
Truck is numbers matching, freshly serviced, everything works, and comes with original build sheet and keys. Also included are a new Low-Pro bed cover, a new under bed spare tire mount (not installed), and a new, very expensive custom radio. It is an exact copy of the original unit, but is am/fm/aux/bluetooth (pictured, not installed). The wood bed was removed, and replaced with steel and Rhino Lined. You can easily remove it and go back to wood if you want.
Be aware that although fully restored, this is a 48 year old vehicle that has been used frequently. It is not a show car. There are the odd paint imperfections due to driving. There is a little clear coat peal directly by the window trim on both doors (pictured). NOTE: the truck has been completely buffed and detailed. The trim piece missing on the drivers side of the bed was damaged while being removed, and is being replaced.
ASK QUESTIONS! I encourage prospective buyers to make arrangements to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase. I have made every effort to describe the vehicle accurately, and will answer all questions posed to the best of my knowledge. This is a 48 year old vehicle with imperfections and age related wear. It does not come with any warranty expressed or implied, nor is it the fault of the seller if you do not do your due diligence! I've sold many vehicles on ebay over the years and proudly have 100% positive feedback. I will do whatever I can to make the purchase as easy as possible, and that means you must come to me with questions. This truck is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Neither the vehicle nor the title will move until funds have cleared. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction's close or you will be considered a non-paying buyer. Balance of funds to be paid via bank wire, certified check (must clear), or cash.
I will work with your shipper, however you are responsible for all costs and arrangements for transporting the vehicle. YEAR OF MANUFACTURE PLATES ONLY GO WITH VEHICLE IF SOLD IN CALIFORNIA. Otherwise I will retain them.

On Dec-02-20 at 17:25:05 PST, seller added the following information:To answer a question that was asked:
The last time I used the travel tanks was 2 years ago and they worked perfectly including the sending units for the fuel gauge. After they were emptied, I switched to the tank behind the seat, and that's the only one I've used since that time. If you're going to use all three tanks, I'd do a quick flush just to make sure they're clean.
