1926 Chevrolet truck
Description
1926 Chevrolet one ton pickup. Originally a Nebraska truck until about 10 years ago. This truck is licensed, runs and drives. Recent tires and brakes and roof covering. Current engine has low miles on a new head. Survivor truck with letter of trucks history going back to the 1930's. Currently driving with 1928 engine and 4 speed and have a correct 1926 engine and 3 speed also. Truck is set up with a sugar beet box with swing down sides and hand hammered wrought iron chains and hardware. All original glass. Super solid truck that I don't think has been repainted. Truck was traded in to a dealer in 1967 and stored in a shed until 10 yrs ago and we have not used it in the winter or rain. I also have rear fenders and multiple small parts for it. The 1926 single exhaust port engine was also cast at the Fero plant and are very hard to find. This is an iconic model for Chevrolet. It was the last year with rear brakes only. The radiator, starter and generator are original to the truck. The mileage is unknown as with most of this vintage the odometer quit in the 30K range. It currently is set up with a new after market fuel tank for a clean fuel source but I also have the orignal tank that could be cleaned and coated on the interior for originality. This is a wood wheel, wood cab truck. I have a letter from the family that traded the truck in to the dealer in 1967 stating they owned it since the early 1930's. Contact for more photos.
