Lot #702 - A 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 re-creation. An award winning show car with less than 300 miles on a freshly rebuilt 454 engine. Features standard crank and rod journals with 9:1 pistons, a balanced, port matched, mild-lift Comp Cams roller cam, ceramic coated headers, 3" Flowmaster exhaust, Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission, Edelbrock performer intake, roller lifters and black wrinkle finish Bow Tie aluminum valve covers. The chassis features aluminum racing mags, Hotchkiss front sway bar, poly bushings in suspension, new springs and gas pressure shocks, new ball joints, new tie rods, 12 bolt 4.10 ratio posi-traction and Cowl Induction hood. Also has Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and 17" Coy wheels. The interior features custom adjustable buckets, B&M slap shifter, custom Autometer dash with 6 instruments, new carpet, seats are leather and tweed, new dash, new custom camel and green interior, SS 454 Bow Tie floor mats, Grant SS steering wheel, etc. The restoration included the following: the exterior was soda blasted to a bright metal, primed, sealed, color painted and clear coated. The underside including frame and belly pan were cleaned, painted and undercoated. A CD with over 200 photos taken during restoration showing the original status of the car is included as well as a Dyno sheet. The car was entered in the 2008 Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals car show the 1st weekend in April and won Second Place for modified Chevelles.
