AWESOME EL CAMINO RESTO-MOD! 6.0L FUEL INJ V8, 4 SPD AUTO, A/C, PS, PWR FR DISCS

When cars like this 1967 Chevrolets El Camino show up at car shows, the crowd buzzes. "Did you see it?" "I can't believe it's here!" "Check out the interior on that car!" You'll hear it a lot, so get used to it, because this pro-built Elky not only delivers the goods with classic good looks, but also thanks to a 6.0 liter fuel injected V8 with all the comfort and convenience items built right in.
Black is the kind of color that gets attention. It starts quietly, and you just notice that it's shiny. Then, up close, there's the super straight bodywork that's worthy of the glossy black paint; someone obviously invested big to get this car looking so good. Gaps are tight, the surfaces are flat and ripple-free, and everything fits together far better than new. It hasn't been radically modified beyond shaving a few trim bits, so it's still instantly recognizable, but you can also look at this car for a long, long time and not see all the custom work. The hood is especially cool, a factory piece that's better than any fiberglass cowl induction unit could be. The chrome is in excellent condition, the stainless has all been polished, and the unmarked bed is protected with a spray-on bedliner that gives it a very finished look.
The stunning red leather interior was done by Craig Willets, whose name you might recognize because he's done interiors for Chip Foose and Jesse James. It's all custom work, not catalog stuff, and includes low-back bucket seats, a fabricated center console, and an incredible 1-piece headliner that's a work of art all by itself. Matching custom door panels use perforated leather inserts and stainless trim to add some interest, yet it's practical, too, with a pair of cup holders and a hidden storage bin in the console. The original dash is intact, topped by a custom leather cap, but the original instruments have been replaced by an incredible setup that glows red when you turn the key and features a digital display in the center. A tilt column with a Billet Specialties wheel wrapped in matching red leather, Vintage Air A/C that uses the original controls, and even power windows, all make this a car you could drive every day. An AM/FM/iPod stereo sounds fantastic and they've even tailored a set of matching floor mats to keep the carpets clean.
The 6.0 liter V8 was yanked from a 2005 Cadillac Escalade, and it's a very neat fit in the El Camino's engine bay, which was obviously designed to handle much bigger hardware. The strong-running LS moves the lightweight Elky with real authority, and it's been enhanced with a Texas Speed "Magic Stick" camshaft, custom EFI programming, and a Spectre cold air kit. Lots of chrome and polished aluminum disguises the engine's production origins, but it's OEM hardware means it starts instantly, idles smoothly, and doesn't get fussy. It's also a fantastic cruiser with the 'Slade's 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission, which is fortified with a 3500 RPM stall torque converter and a custom rebuild. Long-tube headers feed a Flowmaster dual exhaust system and the front suspension is augmented by tubular A-arms and disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors. The rear suspension is still able to handle a load in the bed, and includes a 10-bolt rear end with a fat sway bar for enhanced handling. The lowered stance looks great and allows those big chrome wheels to really fill the fenders properly.
This isn't a car that hits you hard right out of the gate. No, it's better. It's a car whose many layers only reinforce the high-quality build and which will make you happy for years to come. Call today!
