We are offering our 1947 Chevrolet 2nd Series, Series 4400, Utility 1 ½ ton truck. This truck came out of an estate several years ago.
The truck is equipped with a water tank and pump in unknown condition. We have no idea if the pump works – we never tried it – but I doubt it works anymore.Same with the tank – no idea if it leaks or not.
The original 6-cylinder engine is intact and complete and backed up by a manual transmission. We’ve never tried to start the engine, but it turns by hand, so it probably could be started if you tried, but understand that it has been sitting at least twenty-five years.
The truck will be sold with a Bill of Sale only, as the title was lost years ago.Five of the six tires will hold air to load onto a trailer. One tire on the rear is off the bead, but it is a dually, so there is another tire on that corner that DOES hold air.
VIN number is 6QK-G 10xx.We decoded this to show that the truck was built in Oakland, CA in 1947, as a 2nd Series, Series 4400 Utility 1½ ton truck.
The body is a little rough. It has some rust and much of the glass is damaged or broken out.The windshields are in good shape. See the pics for details.
Turn this old truck into a rat-rod or use it as a water truck – it’s entirely up to you. We will be glad to work with transport companies or exporters.
PLEASE NOTE: We have allowed the "MAKE OFFER" option on this listing. NO OFFER CAN OR WILL BE ACCEPTED AUTOMATICALLY! Feel free to let me know what you think the truck is worth. REALISTIC OFFERS will be carefully considered and then discussed with you DIRECTLY. Thank you.
Please email any questions or inquiries, or send me your contact info and we can discuss.Thank you.
