BARN FIND! GARAGED SINCE 82 1971 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS ALL NUMBERS MATCHING!!
Description
So let's try this again. The last bidder did not read my payment options so he decided to ignore me and ebay's request for payment and be a jerk. He never even saw the car and just made up some exxcuse, so I am relisting the camaro so read the instructions it's not hard. Any questions please ask before bidding do not assume anything ask so there won't be a mistake thanks for looking and good luck! Ok this one is a real find. It's been stored in a garage since 1981 or so. It has 80,000 original miles and has all of it's original parts. From the engine transmission and rear end to every body panel and floor pan. This car has not one rust hole in the car that I have been able to find. I pulled up the shag carpet that had been put in at some point and found the floors almost as good as the day it came off the line. There is a small amount of surface rust in two spots inside thats it! even stabbed them with a screwdriver this car is soild! So we put it up on a lift found that the passanger side of the undercarruge is as close to perfect as you will find an original floor due to an oil leak that covered it. The driver side has just some loose surface rust a wire brush and a rag and it comes right off and theres no rust holes. The body has been repainted this brown from the original burnt orange did some checking with an old timer he said the burnt orange had issues of lifting so most go repainted. The body is straight and solid. I see a little something under the original vynal top but very little and it's very soild. Every door gap and fender gap are straight and the trunk lid has no rust even around the spoiler holes! You will be very surprised once the car is sandblaster I don't think you will need to replace any panelos on this camaro.I have a shop and if I had time for my own projects I would build this car but if I don't get what I feel is a fair amount I will build it next year. The vin number is listed in the ad and the picture of the engine number is also in the ad along with the trim tag you will see it's a z27 thats the code for ss option. The block matches the vin and the numbers on the block tell me it came as a71 350 270hp 4bbl and a manual trans (t051 2cjg) The original manifold and carb are missing as are the exhaust manifolds. I have not tried to start the engine it is free and rotates like it has compression but thats as far as I have gone. I put on the rims and tires since the others were so dry rotted they would not hold air. The rims are anson sprints 14 inch and there is a spare to match they are in good shape and the tires hold are but will need to be replaced for road use.The radiator support has no rust holes just some surface rust. The only panel I found rusted is a small hole under the battery tray in the inner fender on the passanger side. I was able to find the numbers on the rear axle tube (see Picture) ck g127 2 tells me it has a 3.42:1 gear ratio and it is an open rear (non-posi). I took over 120 pictures so if you want to see a spot let me know. If you want to come and see the car let me know. Please ask anything you want to know before you bid on the car if you win it you own it for that price. Understand you are buying a project car that once your done will be worth in the high 30's to low 40's when done right. Don't miss your chance to grab a real camaro ss not a clone and with all the right drivetrain and original panels. Thanks for reading this far and good luck on bidding.
