1960 Chevrolet Impala, hot rod, rat rod, patina, bubbletop, original rust free
Description
I have here one of the most rust free 56 year old cars that you will ever see. And if you know anything about these old b body cars you know how bold of a statement that is, but this beautiful 1960 Impala has spent the last 45 years in a garage or an enclosed trailer. There is not so much as a rust bubble on this car and the floors and trunk are the original GM metal and are original GM metal clean. The rockers inner rockers GM original and flawless. The interior was replaced with nos in the late 90's when a mild restoration was started (paint and general touch up). The 283 engine was pulled at this time and the car was going to receive a BBC however the project was never completed and the car has sat untouched since. I have the original 283 that will need rebuilding (currently out of the car) and the original powerglide was previously swapped for a th350 and new Richmond 3.73 gears (installed)which will also be included in the sale. The interior is gorgeous and only has one spot where the stitching need to be touched up its not a tear just some loose stitching. The dash is flawless, all of the rubber is still soft and in great condition (even the tires still look good and are not dry rotted). Glass is perfect,All of the chrome is perfect except for the passenger rocker molding which was damaged when loading in its trailer home it is not shown on the car but can be fixed and is included in the sale of the car. The paint has had a couple spots that are in primer which date to the start of the "restoration" that was started in the late 90's so car could use paint or someone skilled could blend them in. This car is gorgeous and with the original DT or the DT of your choice and paint will instantly become a blue chip collectible. Prices on these cars are jumping in the 10's of thousands each year and if you are in the market for one, this is probably one of the most original rust free straightest GM metal cars on the market and is surely going to be the cheapest. I'm selling because I have to many projects I rescued this car to put it back to is original glory but I can't personally save them all so I'm giving one lucky bidder a chance to own in my opinion one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Feel free to come view the car before purchase I will welcome you bring your body guy so you can bid comfortably I'm telling you I've been all over it you nor them will find rust. I've won $100 dollars from a skeptic that frequents my garage already because he said it wasn't possible.
