1978 Chevy C65 Crew Cab -- Two Ton Monster Pickup
Originally built to haul houseboats in Arizona, it has a heavy duty hitch, plus a gooseneck ball in the rear of the bed. It is wired for trailer brakes and has three different type plugs. Since it was built to pull and is geared fairly low, it cruises best around 65 mph.
It has been nicely repowered using a Hardin Marine 454, features a Clark 5speed transmission and a GM two speed rear end with heavy duty hydraulic brakes.
The crew cab and dually bed are rust free other than the usual GM rocker panel issues. Replacement panels are less than $30 from LMC. The interior is in great shape, as seen in the photos. The last owner had big plans and bought all new carpet and headliner that he didn't install, but it goes with the truck. All gauges and lights work as they should, as does the great aftermarket sound system.
I build these trucks for a living and although I didn’t originally build this one, I have pretty much rebuilt it. I have driven it lots of miles and made many improvements & repairs to get it ready to be a Big Ass Truck.
Use it to pull your boat, streetrod, bike trailer or to advertise your business. Once people see this truck, they never forget it!
Fly into Lexington, Ky. I’ll bring the truck, you bring the cash and you drive it home.
