Description

for sale is my 14 year project, its a 1958 chevy short, step side pick up.it has a 70-81 camaro front clip,a chromed and polished 383 sbc stroker motor with all stainless steel braided hoses and an fittings,700r 4 speed automatic with shift kit,new all aluminum radiator,9" ford positrack rear end with 3:90 gears.the bolt pattern has been changed over to chevy 5 bolt on the rear end,all new gears, seals and axles.the truck is mechanically sound and all new.there is minor body work to be done but very minor stuff.all the holes were welded up for no chrome except for the cab trim around the windows.it has power tinted side glass windows, the windshield is new but the back wrap around window is original.the gas tank has been moved out of the cab to the back of the bed and its a 20 gallon custom made aluminum tank.i put a tear drop fuel door in the rear fender that feeds the tank.it has 4 wheel disc brakes with a corvette power master cylinder mounted up under the cab and power steering.the battery is in a stainless drop down battery box and it is located under the cab as well.the frame is the stock frame but beefed up and c notched and it has no problem with the power.the rear fenders are 3 inch wider than stock fiberglass as i did`nt want to put wheel wells in the bed.the tail gate is a custom mar k piece with a modern latch located on the inside of the tailgate(just like modern tailgates with the metal bars not chains)it has a big embossed bow tie on the tail gate and front bed panel as well.the tires and wheels are nearly new with just a thousand miles on them.it has a dakota digital dash with red numbers, dakota digital shift patteren brain.it has a 2400 watt stereo system installed,a pyle cd,dvd,mp3 with a 7 " screen, with the amp and 10" powered base located under the seat,2 4"tweeters on the kick panels and 2 5 way speakers behind the seat and yes it will blow you out of the cab.the frame and suspention are not all chromed out just painted as i have been building it to drive and man its fun to drive.i just got the head liner and door panels back, they are black with orange bow ties and not installed, the bed wood i went a different route than the already done too much bed boards,i got a piece of marine grade plywood with cedar on the show side, had hard wood glued and pinned to the sides of the plywood for mounting reasons.i took it to our local wood shop and had a huge stainless steel bow tie die cut into the center of the bed wood.i have`nt got it back yet but will show pics when i get it.i was going to have the stainless bow tie and stainless angle covers down the sides.i think it will look awsome but thats just me.i have a bad ich for a 3 window coup or a corvette is the only reason i am considering selling my truck.if you can paint or know someone that does this will be the perfect truck for you.i have nearly 30k into this truck,we all know how that goes right!!i have done all the hard work and i`ve been driving it every chance i get and it is totally dependable with no problems at all.i know i have probly left out a lot of stuff so if you have questions please just ask
note:the console you see in white is now flat black with flat clear coats and a carpet insert shown in other pictures
