Description

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a very nice 1931 Chevrolet Sport Coupe. This car is nice everywhere you look at it. It starts good, runs good, stops good and drives like a 1931 car. The paint is nice, the interior looks like new, the glass clear and the chrome has a brillant gleam.

HISTORY: I was at the big ACCA car club show in Charlotte NC and saw the car. I loved it and bought it! The older man that sold it to me was from North Carolina and said he had owned the car for about 18 years. His wife was the one that loved the car on first sight and edmanded to buy it. It came from South Carolina. He was restored, but a older restoration. They drove it and over the years redid most everything. The paint was done in 2010, the lady was a upholsterer and did all the interior.

VIN is SCHD102431

TITLE is a clear North Carolina title in hand.

I HAVE OVER 80 PICTURES LISTED, just scroll down to see them.

IS THERE ANY RUST? I see no rust bubbles in the paint or on the under side. Frame, floors and panels look very solid.

HOW IS THE PAINT? Nice, I see no dents, no dings, no rust bubble. The paint shines good and the panels are straight.

HOW IS THE INTERIOR? It looks new to me!

HOW IS THE CHROME? Nice, the bumper good, the door handles good, the radiator shell super nice. The worst thing I see is a little pitting on the back side of the bumper, the front is perfect.

HOW IS THE GLASS? It all looks new, the front windshield does roll down, the back window does roll down, the sides roll down good.

HOWARE THE TIRES AND WHEELS? The tires look new, the old man had the rims powder coated, but a couple have deep pitts that were power coated over. 3 good rims come with the car.

HOW IS THE ENGINE? It starts and runs good, you do have to choke it and retard the spark for it to start easy. It sounds good, I hear no knock or rattles other than 1931 sounds. He said it had never over heated, he drove it in a parade for 1 and 1/2 hour and it did good. Oil pressure reading on the gauge low, its just the way these old engines are, the old man owned the car for 16 years and said its always been that way.

HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It shifts like old non synconized transmission did. Double clutch and you want have a problem. It has never jumped out of gear with me.

HOW ARE THE BRAKES? The old man had all the brake linings redone. To me it stops extra good for mechanical brakes.

HOW DOES IT DRIVE? Keep in mind you are driving a 1931 model car. It steers good, no shimmy, some tire bounce until the old 19 inch bias tires warm up. By todays standards it does not drive good, by 1931 standard it drives fine.

HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHT WORKS!

BRAKE LIGHT WORKS! DOME LIGHT WORKS!

SPEEDOMETER works, but is a little floaty.

GAS GAUGE works.

Amp gauge works.

WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
