Description

This is a 1976 Corvette Stingray that has been in our family for at least the last 17 or 18 years. This is a fun car to drive, I wish we had time to drive it more often. That is why it is now up for sale. First I'll list the requirements of this sale, then details of the car followed by flaws and history of the car.

Sale Requirements: There is a $500 Paypal deposit required within 48 hours from the end of the auction. If you do not have a Paypal account, do not bid on this item. The car must be picked up within 21 days from the end of the auction.

If you cannot meets these requirements, DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM.

Car Details: L48 350 automatic, power windows work, power steering, tilt steering column, factory A/C (but it doesn't work due to a blown hose), T-tops. Valve job was done on the heads in 2007, along with adding a dual plane intake, Summit mild cam. Transmission was also rebuilt at that time, and it currently has an estimated 1500 miles on it. The car was also painted Pearl Copper in 2007. This also has an after market CD player installed. About 1 year ago aBorgeson 605 Power steering box was installed.

Mileage on the car is slightly different from the picture, by about 50 miles, because I have driven it lately.

Flaws: This car could use cosmetic work. Interior dash is worn. Not sure if you can see it in the pictures. I have tried to circle the damage on the front end. Shortly after being painted, an 18 wheeler tire blew out on the highway and rolled into the front bumper. The window tint (probably not factory tinted) is peeling off of the windows. I have circled the areas on the driver side window, which is the worst one. Passenger side isn't so bad. The paint on the car is not perfect, it was clear coated and probably needs to be wet sanded and buffed real good.

History: I bought this car from my brother in 2007. He had put this car on the frame machine at the local body shop to ensure that the frame was straight, and it is. Other than the 18 wheeler tire damage, there have been no other incidences with the car. My brother drove this for about 3 years and then it was placed in storage for about 6 or 7 years until I bought it from him and shipped it to Texas.

According to Haggerty's value guide for this car in FAIR condition is worth $5244, plus $200 for power windows, $1200 for A/C (but since it doesn't work we'll estimate $500), plus $2500 for power steering, plus $750 for tilt steering. Total $9194.00
