1983 chevrolet c10
Description
Great classic truck that turns heads wherever it goes. Sits right, sounds right, and shines right.350 sbc with 350th transmission. Block is a 3970010. Edlebrock 600cfm carb. New ball joints, upper control arms, front springs, spindles, a rear flip kit and four new shocks. This truck has cold AC, power windows and locks. Installed new wiring and relays for the power windows and the head lights. This improved the performance of both. Also installed keyless entry.Complete interior overhaul. New OEM style dash and black vinyl bench seat. The door panels have all new switches and were custom wrapped with black vinyl that looks and feels like leather. All of the interior trim pieces were wrapped with the same material. Custom door panel inserts look much better than standard replacements but still reflect the original style of the truck. New black carpet door kick panels. New Led lights behind the dash make all the gauges pop at night. The perforated black vinyl headliner is also new.Kenwood stereo system with bluetooth mounted in glove box. New Kenwood 6x9 speakers in a custom enclosure behind the seat and new kicker 4.5" front speakers in the dash. The enclosure is wrapped in the same material as the rest of the interior and features three sections that hinge open to maximize storage space. The center section should fit a 10" sub if you so desire but the system sounds fantastic as is so I didn't bother.
The handsfree calling mic is ran inside the dash and discreetly mounted on the steering column. In a similar fashion an infrared repeater is ran from the stereo so that the dash looks all original. The stereo is controlled via remote through the infrared sensor that is mounted on the original stereo.New window felt and sweeps inside and out on both doors. Completely rebuilt both vent windows with all new weather stripping and hardware. Used chrome sport bumper installed on the back. The badges and trim have all been removed and polished or touched up. Negative things:Glass pack exhaust might be too loud for some people.Probably needs a valve job. It occasionally gets a puff of white smoke upon startup which I've been told is consistent with small leaks in the valve guides.I have never used the drivers side gas tankbecause I was told it leaks when I bought the truck.
Paint:Has been professionally cut, polished and waxed and shines nice but there are spots where it looks like the paint has bubbled up. There are a several other chips, dents and imperfections. The most notable is a spot where the trim used to be and it looks like some of the paint was comprimised when the side trim was moved. I can't find any through rust so most of these should be an easy fix. This is a great driver truck not a show truck. I will put this on Ebay in early August if I don't get an acceptable offer locally. Thanks for looking. On Aug-16-16 at 12:48:03 PDT, seller added the following information:Great classic truck that turns heads wherever it goes.
