Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this beautifully restored 1964 Chevrolet Impala convertible. This car was recently underwent an extensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration. A 2-owner dry climate car, it was brought down to bare metal and refinished in the correct Palomar Red color while the interior is also correct. The engine was rebuilt, balanced & blueprinted with less than 1,500 miles logged thus far. This is an Impala that is an absolute pleasure to drive and will do well at car shows locally and at larger regional events. The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the fitting location for many of our photos of this classic '64 Impala. Be sure to visit our friends at the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas.
The exterior showcases the recent professional paint job (from bare metal) staying with the correct Palomar Red. The paint and body are in excellent condition as is the brightwork throughout this Impala. Please look carefully through our pictures. Not a 100 point show car, but a high quality car to drive and show.
Open the doors to 1964. The interior displays the correct white vinyl bench seating with matching door panels. The dash is padded. All of the original instrumentation is in place along with an under dash mounted AM/FM stereo CD. There is also an 8-track player in the dash.
Under the hood Is the recently rebuilt, balanced & blueprinted Chevrolet V8 engine. This powerplant is paired with the correct Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. Accessories include updated air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes.
The original trim identification plate is intact and legible.
The convertible soft top is in excellent condition, and the boot is like new.
The undercarriage is reflective of the dry climate Arizona to Texas history of this Impala. The original flooring and framework is intact front to back. The suspension has been previously rebuilt. This car runs and drives down the road excellent. It is a pleasure to drive. Be sure to play our video near the beginning of the presentation.
