1988 Camaro LT Rare Factory Yellow Convertible
Got this car about a year back now, it was a factory 5.0 TBI with an auto transmission, it was very original.The motor and trany had problems so we desided to do a swap on it. Now it has a 1987 L98 factory roller engine complete rebuilt and a T5 Manual transmission. The motor has all new bearings including the cam, new piston rings, new oil pump, new LT4 GM Hot Cam and lifters. The heads where done by a local machine shop. New Eldebrook intake and 600 Carburator with electric choke and fuel pressure regulator. The motor sounds amazing like a muscle car should, you can here it on the posted YouTube Video. The Transmission shifts smooth with a new clutch assembly and a b&m short throw shifter. It has a posi/limited slip differential with 3.23 gears and disc brakes.Fairly new tires and shocks. AC is in working condition, heater isdisconnected.
The body is very solid, the paint looks great with plenty of shine, it has a couple of scratches and small chips, it was repainted at one point, the only rust I have seen is by the driver side back floor panel, not much at all very minor . No signs of anypreviousaccidents.It has a new convertible top done last month. The top is in good working condition. Some of the weather strip on the top could usedattention. The windshield has some separation.
The interior looks great for the year with power window and seats that works, the front seats were recover a couple of month ago, the carpet has some wear and the dash has a cap on it that has some warping. Has anaftermarketRadio that sound good. The cluster has problems, the RPM and oil pressure are not working right. The trunk lid brake light is not working. The trunk pull down works great. Missing a cap on the steering column.
This is not a show car but it is a very nice car the could be driven anywhere. It drives very smooth for a third generation f-body, but like any other used car it has some wear and tear and this one is around 28 years old.
The car has a clean carfax report and a Florida Title with my name on it.
