Description

1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
This 2-owner Monte Carlo has accrued approximately 25,000 miles as represented by the granddaughter of the original owner. The car's condition certainly reflects these miles. If you have ever been fortunate enough to experience the ownership of a truly unrestored, low mileage, original vehicle such as this, then I think you will agree that no matter how much money is thrown into a restoration, nothing can duplicate the feel of an original. This is THAT car.

This is an absolutely amazing, unrestored survivor 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo! Motor Trend's 1973 Car of the Year. First year of Chevrolet's distinctive 2nd generation personal luxury coupe, with its curvaceous fenders and round headlamps that blend into the round upper fenders.
Purchased new on May 8, 1973 at George Irvin Chevrolet of Denver, Colorado. Numerous original documents including copies of the original title and buyer's invoice. Incredibly well preserved and garage kept for 43 years! We just installed new tires all around.
Shiny, eye catching code 56 Chamois non-metallic original finish, I'd call it more of a Honey Mustard; no overspray, runs, dings, waves, etc. All of the chrome and stainless trim displays brilliantly. The body panels line up correctly and are in excellent shape. There are a few minute paint nicks that have been touched up over the years as should be expected on a well preserved original finish, no dents. One ding on the left rear wheel well molding. I was not able to located a NOS replacement, but I'm sure that there's one out there.
All of the date coded LOF Safety glass glistens, the window felts and all of the weatherstripping are soft and supple.
The interior is just beautiful. The dash, headliner, package tray, seats, door panels, carpeting, floor mats, gauges, and headliner are remarkable. This Monte Carlo even smells new. The gauges and warning lamps work. Even the annoying seat buzzer works, there is a sensor on the passenger side seat that buzzes as well, if the seat belt is not on. The windows roll up smoothly without the typical vertical scratches so common on these cars. Period correct gauges were added by the dealership at no charge to save the sale to the owner that didn't like to rely on idiot lights - so the story goes.
The original Rally Wheels are wearing a brand new set of raised white letter Futura GLS Super Sport radial tires all around.

The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts correctly. The engine compartment displays original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support. The original trim identification plate is also in place.

act.

Solid undercarriage limited only to surface rust, nothing corrosive - see pictures. The fuel tank, flooring, frame, and door underside metal is original and solid.
