RB Collection is pleased to offer this tidy, honest and attractive 1978 Corvette coupe. This very original example has covered just 55,000 miles via two owners from new. We acquired it from the most recent owner who cared for the car for the last 23 years. Always garage kept and never used in the rain, the last owner added only 10,000 miles over two decades. It is finished in its original black paint (19L) over a black leather interior, and presents in very good condition inside and out. This car originally came very well-equipped with body color t-tops, rally wheels, power windows, air conditioning, automatic transmission, rear window defogger, raised-white-letter tires, power antenna and a very cool factory AM/FM/CB radio that still works today. The car drives extremely well, always starting easy on the first turn of the key, with no smoke or hesitation.

Performance is very respectable with the base L48 engine feeling torquey and well matched to the automatic trans. The transmission shifts cleanly and the car rides very well, feeling tight and planted, affirmation that the 55,000 miles are genuine. Power steering is precise and the brakes are strong. This is a fun, usable and approachable car that would make a great entry level, driver-quality classic for someone new to the hobby or one who wants a classic corvette to enjoy on the road. It is ready to be enjoyed as-is, or could easily be tidied up to bring it up to a higher level. Note: If the deposit is not received within forty-eight hours (2 business days) or if the sale is not complete within 7 days of the close of the auction, we reserve the right to sell to the next highest bidder or to another qualified buyer.
