Description

Look closely at this 1937 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-door sedan and we guarantee that you'll like it more and more. The handsome burgundy paint is a good start, but there's also a flat-out gorgeous leather interior and a healthy Chevy V8 under the hood to sweeten the pot. So please, take a few moments and go over the car, we know you'll be impressed. Most of the sheetmetal on this car is original, but the craftsmen who worked on it gave it a special character that's unique. The rounded front fenders, for example, are beautifully finished and flow into that tall grille, which has been blacked out to add a sense of purpose. The grille artfully blends into the front end to create a '30s look that doesn't over-do the details. That sweeping body line that continues the fenders' curve into the doors is factory-issue too, as are the little "gills" up on the leading edges of the hood. All of the original stainless and chrome has been retained to give the body a period-correct look, and even the original taillights and bumpers were retained. The burgundy paint is nicely done with an even shine, and you know a car is well-sorted and a blast to drive when it shows the minor signs of use that this one does. Add tinted windows and that nose-down attitude, and you have a car that will have folks doing double-takes every time you drive by.The tan leather interior is fairly recent and wow, does it look phenomenal. Custom bucket seats are trimmed with red piping in a simple pattern and the door panel are wonderfully sleek and echo the slash of the bodywork outside. A special panel full of Stewart Warner instruments doesn't interrupt the basic shape of the dash itself, which has been smoothed and painted using burgundy paint to match the exterior. Cold A/C is neatly integrated using OEM-looking vents and knobs that are simplicity itself and even the handle on the floor-mounted automatic shifter has a suitably old-fashioned look that helps it blend in. Entertainment comes from an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and with a full-sized back seat, there's plenty of room for the whole family. And in case you haven't noticed, this car has a giant, fully finished trunk that makes long hauls totally painless. 327 cubic inches are plenty in a relative lightweight like this, and with upgrades like a 4-barrel carburetor, it's a blast to drive. Tucked down in that engine bay, it's not terribly visible so they kept the flash to a minimum, focusing on functionality and ease of service, the key elements of a rod that's built to be driven. Black components like the valve covers and air cleaner have bright red Chevrolet markings which make it worth opening the hood to show off now and then, but with a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, you really will prefer to be on the road. The front suspension is a Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion steering while the Ford 9-inch rear end hangs on a set of leaf springs. Specially made aluminum wheels with custom offsets to create that awesome deep-dish look wear 215/70/15 white-letter radials that are fat enough to look great but still ride nicely. This is a very handsome car that's built to cruise. And with that in mind, it should be no surprise that the interior is simply stunning. If you like how it looks, you'll love how it drives. Call today!
