Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one mean muscle car, the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet dealerships in September 1966,[5] for the 1967 model year on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and would be available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop or convertible with a choice of six-cylinder and V8 power plants. The styling of the 1968 Camaro was very similar to the 1967 design. With the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system, the side vent windows were deleted. Side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders which was a government requirement for all 1968 vehicles. It also had a more pointed front grille and divided rear taillights. Normally this Camaro would have came with a little dinky small block or underpowered big block, now its boast a 500 horsepower 502 cubic inch fire breathing monster. Helping with the massive amount of spark this engine takes is a full MSD ignition. Power steering helps wheel this bad boy through the corners and big power disk brakes help whoa it down during spirited driving sessions. Linked to the monster motor is fully built 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and putting the power to the pavement is a built 12 bolt GM rear end. The restoration was done roughly 8 years ago but has withstood the test of time due to great maintenance and a meticulous owner. The car is lathered in a gorgeous silver with Marina blue racing stripes and a 6" fiberglass cowl hood. The interior was done in a very nice Marina blue vinyl seats front and rear and accent the car phenomenally. Options on this gorgeous 1968 Chevrolet Camaro include: AC, am/fm/cd, power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, vinyl seats, seatbelts and rally wheels wrapped in radial tires.
