Description

im selling my 1951 chevy 2 ton flatbed. this truck is a beast! runs and drives great.
the good: i just had the brakes done. new lines and hoses, new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder. also new radiator and rebuilt carburetor. she has a two speed rear axle, four on the floor with a straight six 216 engine. the flatbed is hydraulic pto powered and moves up and down just fine. it has only 71000 original miles! this truck would be great for a farm, winery, or parade vehicle. very solid. im selling because i dont have a place to park it and its just a little too much truck for my needs. ive easily invested over 2000 dollars in it and just want it to go to a good home.
the not so good: cosmetically, well, shes an old lady. as you can see the paint is in pretty good shape, a couple scrapes and dings, but overall pretty good. the interior is bare bones, but who needs corinthian leather in a truck like this. the tires are pretty cracked and dried, but still very solid. this isnt really a freeway car anyway. if you do end up changing the tires, itll cost about 1800 bucks. ive already gotten a couple quotes around town. the wiring for the side lights on the bed can be looked at, and there are a couple plastic turn signal lenses that need to be replaced. i looked those up and they are available for less than 10 bucks apiece...
that all being said, this truck is in pretty darn good shape for 65 years old. im totally flexible on the price, i just need to find it a good home... give me a call or text and i can show it off to you. its currently parked in the main harbor lot close to pershing park. its a tad over 20 feet long so its just barely over the limit for that lot and i need to get it out of there asap... thanks for checking out the ad!
p.s. the bed used to have diamond plate steel on it, but i took it off to reveal the original wood underneath, you can see that in the pictures.
